Surface Preparation

Recently I've been getting some painting done and it's inspired me to keep going. These are some images of some canvases I've prepared for painting on top of. I have also been using a bit of colour for a change. I have a view to painting some portraits on these but I'll have to wait until the oils dry!

Something Palatable

So a few of us have a wee show down at the Roseangle Cafe Arts! Its running from the 1st August to the 14th! Come along and check it out. Here are a couple of snaps of my paintings, I will upload more detailed ones after the show...

New Work 2013

I've recently moved house and have managed to set up a wee studio space to work in. I've been working on a couple of different projects. Firstly, I am currently collaborating with an artist I shared a space with at uni, Victoria Moore, check out her work here: http://vickimooreart.blogspot.co.uk/ 

We are working towards a group show later in the year and are currently focused on the landscape where we live and other places we find interesting.

I also have some screen prints from these images which I will upload later. The next image is a painting I have been working on to see if the medium will lend well to the subject of landscape/skyscape.

This month I am hosting and participating in an exhibition in my place of work alongside some up and coming artists living and working in Dundee. The exhibition will comprise of a variety of works showing a mixed portfolio from graduates and students from Dundee College and Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art and Design.
